Original is the BEST no doubt! but this is like techno version of the original.. it makes you shake for sometime but it is not really good song when i found out about it I remembered the original and was on net just to search for the original all search engines return this one .. so horrible but I found this one site and found from one review the name of the original singer thats all I need now I will go to buy it 80's song is better than this one that is all what I can say by the way any one reads this review original singer is STEVE WINWOOD and song is VALERIE (call on me)

This song is total suckage. I bet it was made in less time than the song actually takes to play, due to all the repetition. Heck, I could make a hundred songs like this by just taking 'hooks' from old hits and repeating them endlessly while mixing them with a drum machine. I don't give a damn about how 'sexy' or 'cool' the video is, as I don't see it when this song plays for the umpteenth time on my radio. The only good thing about it is that it made me remember the original song by Steve Winwood from which the sample was ripped.

I first heard this song last year in the Fall. I immediately thought about Steve Winwood's 'Valerie' from the 80s. Although the song repeats the same line 'Call on me' over and over again, I have to admit the tune is catchy and it is very popular in clubs. On an aside, I was dating a woman who became enraged when this video was playing on my flat screen tv as I was getting ready to go out. The video is off the hinges, not all the chicks were hot (e.g., the Black one looks like a dude) but a couple of the girls, including the aerobics instructor's gyrating pelvic thrusts saved the video. Anyway the woman I dated (past tense) was so disgusted that I actually enjoyed this video that she later proclaimed that night: 'I don't think you and I are compatible, it is clear we are not into the same things.' So Eric Prydz, I thank you for saving my time with that prude.

The song has a nice synth bass line building throughout. The video...is...flippin' awesome!Gorgeous full bodied women getting sweaty while doing boner-inducing aerobic moves. I only just heard it for the first time yesterday actually. Geez, this song should definately get more airplay in Canada cause it kicks ass!! The video is different- kinda like soft porn- LOL, but the song is so high energy that I just wanna dance when I hear it. The song itself is not too original, but the polarized beat (which is all that matters in the club) is amazing. Just as, if not more, addictive than Darude's 'Sandstorm' and Oakenfold's 'Ready Steady Go.' I am an 80's head as well, so to hear Winwood's vocals is a bonus on the track. The video is pretty cool too. I'd say that it is an above average sex-sell. Plus, the lead dance has the looks to probably start a revolution in a small country somewhere.

i haven't stone-danced (dancing like you're the only person on a club floor) since Darude's Sandstorm a few years back - 'Call on Me' makes silver make-up, pink and blue neon lights blend in well with a Midori c***tail - i totally love it and i'ts doing wonders for the clubs here at home, the lovely Fiji Islands.

This is very interesting... people either seem to love it or hate it. I bet you could divide those responding into two groups: those who remember Steve Winwood & those who are too young to remember. I'm betting the vast majority of those who gave this a '10' would fall into the latter category. Nice video, though. :-)

This song is fantastic. It hasn't quite reached no 1 here in Oz but it only entered the charts last week and it did so at number 2 already! Mesmerising beat and vocals and the best party track really makes you want to dance all nite! And the clip is awesome. I am a straight chick so am not just looking at the sexy girls and judging the clip by them... its always fun and inspiring to watch people that can move fantastically!!

I like the song....it is really catchy, although somewhat repetitive...oh well. =D I dont understand though...the song was made in like..the 80's...but then the remixed it...then brought it back? And what about the video....is it new, but just done old school???? Anyways yeah...I like the song. Dont be hating you all!

Hi i think that this song is really catchy. There is only one different line ' Im the same boy as i used to be.' This is a great song and is designed to stick in your head! It sounds like my Steve Winwood CD when it gets stuck on Valerie. It is retarded. Why would you listen to it keep repeating Call on Me. The song is called Valerie? Winwood knew what he was doing. At least he was original.

Love the song, some ppl find it annoying. But I think it is really cool, reminds u of the summer. But the video of it is very sexist and the girls in it are, ugly tarts. Lol, soz guys! But the song is really good apart from that, the title is the main lyric and just repeated again and again....

You really have no idea how long I have been waiting to hear a decent dance track which isn't made by the most over rated and over played group in the world of music - Ultrabeat. Call on me is a fantastic track which goes straight to your head and even if you don't like it, you will find that you have no choice due to the general catchiness of the tune. Obviously, as with many songs a great video is essential in boosting its popularity and this certainly does not disappoint.

Euro Disco Beat, which is pretty average... BUT, if any Male listens to the song whilst watching the video they are bound to give it a 10. The video has a bunch of amazingly sexy aerobics babes gyrating their hips like there's no tomorrow. A delight...just don't watch the vid when your parents are in the same room ;)
