The Killers rock hardcore people. I mean they may not be what some people like as far as talent goes...but their skills for writing music and being able to make it into different versions that both sound good, ya thats freaking crazy. I play drums, and things the drummer does is stuff i could do in 6th grade. But the way he does it with precision is so catching. Never tired of this song...bought the CD when it came out and put the song on repreat for when im in bed, in my car...or just when im freaking bored. Learn to play the song, and you would have more appreciation for them, i know i do. im out! -Jared

Ahem, reviewer number 68, how are The Killers referred to as 'gay'? How does that have any sexual preference? Hmm? Anyway, Mr.Brightside is a wonderful and orginal song. It's nothing like you hear all the time on the radio. It's fresh. It's like, a new breath of air. Mr.Brightside is a unique song that is hard to get out of your head. Words cannot even describe how awesome the song is.

This and Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' are simply my favorite songs of all time. 'Mr. Brightside' is just too terribly catchy, and I never get tired of it. The Killers are my favorite band right now, and I can't wait for their new album next spring!

Seriously, The Killers you have some talent but learn to write better lyrics then what you write on your album. Inspiring music comes from awesome lyrics (Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven and Achilles Last Stand, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Day's American Idiot album and tons more awesome stuff.) It takes talent and lyrics to make something classic, The Killers have talent they just have to learn to write.

omg if you think brandon is hot in the video clip he is so much hotter in real life i met him at an instore appearence thing and hes reallllllllllly hot and sweet i love this song so much and i know its really catchy slash it can get annoying but i still love it! it can be interpreted in so many different ways and can relate to people differently this and all these things that ive done are the best on HOT FUSS not to say that the others are bad oh and although the killers rock i musy agree green day is better classic but i still am in love wiht the killers and MR BRIGHTSIDE

A real Gem! A much deserved break from the sonic diarrhea that people are forced to bare when other (using the term loosely) 'rock' bands such as 'Simple Plan' and the such invade ears from somebody's car stereo or MTV. Brian is a truly inspired vocalist and when accompanied with his unrivaled (in todays music scene) synthisiser melodies, this band shines as an Award-Deserving group. The albumn is worth every cent i payed for it, with tracks that both are catchy, appealling and deep, but also great songs which require true appreciation of the band. :D seriously ;)

I would just like to say that the killers are an amazing band. I resently saw their concert and I have to say.....WOW!!! It really bring out the fans! the place was packed...not one inch of breathing room. They dont waste time with filler like stopping to talk to the audience (which kinda sux) but they get right down to what really matters....THE MUSIC!!! They are not one of those bands that try so hard to appeal to everybody. They stick with one type of music and do it well. Also, in order to be a REAL music fan, you have to apprechiate everytype of music out there. You dont nessesaraly have to like it, but you have to admitt that the artist put alot of soul into the music. So if you dont like this type of music and feel obligated to bad mouth all music that you feel to be 'gay' or 'metrosexual sh**', you can go to your trailer park, tell your sister to get off of your father, get over the fact that AC/DC is not coming back and stick your opinion up your 'hardcore' ass...(p.s. not that im dissing ac/dc)

This song is simply marvelous! I have no idea why people would waste their time stating their stupid opinion and tell other's that it is gay or rather demented. I can relate to mr.brightside alot. The Killerz are one of my favorite bands! Go whoever likes them! If you've just broken up with someone, or you see your ex , or your crush up , hooking up with someone else other than you, and you (still) care for them ,Mr. brightside is sure to make you feel better and get over whateverit is your being down about. Love the song. Think the band is very talented and I like the lyrics. And to all of you juveniles writing all of those rediculiously obscene comments (obscene, I know it's a big word. Look it up in a big book your daddy might have called a Dic-tio-nary), how about you go back to school and learn how to display your opinions in a more grown up way. No one wants to read your garbage. Oh, by the way, I am a musician and a songwriter (as well as someone who graduate with honors in English), so I feel my opinion will go a little further than yours. And of course I already assume this entry will be followed with tons of fantastically colorful uses of the word c***, f***, etc. which once again proves my point that we're dealing with too many juveniles...most of whom are unfortunatly over the age of 25. This song is one of the best out there on the radio right now, which isn't that hard to do, considering radio blows. The Jaques LuCont remix is even BETTER. Try to get it if you can. He is trying to tell himself it was 'only' a kiss, and look at the BRIGHT SIDE of things, but it isn't working too well. Finally something that isn't rap which is all you hear on the radio. The whole CD is incredible because it is getting back to real music that has real purpose and real potential. 'Mr Brightside' is truly amazing. Stop comparing artists against each other and like them all

The music really good, combined with the video, it's sure to be a big hit. The lyrics sound very sophisticated and different than other rock songs out there, but they don't make too much sense to me. I don't know, I'm sure there is some complicated meaning behind them.

I have a great respect for this band. I like the new alternative rock sound that they are putting out there. Their sound is very original.

Mr. Brightside by the Killers is a wonderful song that while it repeats itself is still wonderful and addicting to listen to. Most definitely my favorite of of their album.

Simply the best song from there album Hot Fuss, The Killers' second single 'Mr. Brightside' is an excellent beat combined with very well written lyrics. Although they are repeated identically in the second verse, the song is still a great one and will catch the ears of many very soon.
