-The fugees didn't actually get sued in the end - Enya personally let them off the hook when she was assured they weren't 'gangter rap' and weren't pro-crime. They came pretty close to getting their asses sued big time tho. They had to put a sticker on any albums they sold from then on with an acknowledgement.

They just stole the same sample from Enya's 'Boadicea' (featured in the movie 'Sleepwalkers') as the Fugees already did in their song 'Ready or not' (they got sued for that, because they didn't ask permission). Because that sample is just awesome, this song sounds good. Take away the sample and all that remains is a bland rap song.

I reckon the song would have been somewhat crap if it wasn't for enya's sample. Her sample from the track 'Song of Boadicea' made the fugees rise to stardom and they initially used the track without her permission which would have led to one of the biggest law suits of copyright infringement in history. Lucky for the fugees, she was kind enough to basically let them off the hook. The very same sample has been used here. No new suprises.

I feel that song is really good, I dont feel Mario is a p**** or any of the stuff I read on here, I feel that the song means that if you been wit somebody for a while you want to know but then again you dont because the pain of knowing is so deep. This song was aiiight. Its about time someone repped for the punks of the world. Your girl is banging me and you don't wanna know. I actually went through a similar situation. I was banging this dude's girl ,and I always felt he had to know somethin. She leavin and not comin back for hours. All of a sudden she hangin with her girls a lot and he couldn't come. I got what I wanted from shorty, and sent her back to him, but I always wondered what had to be on his mind while she was professing love to him and swallowing me. Thanks Mario for enlightening me.

I really don't like this song primarily because of the message. After reading the majority of these responses I'm obviously in the minority because I would want to know. I was married to a man who cheated on me the whole time we were together. I found out ten years and three kids later. I would've never spent all of that time with someone who'd betray me like that. The pain is gone, but what remains is the regret for all of the time I lost. If I knew the truth I would have never spent that time or shared my life with that person. The pain faded with time, but I'm upset about the fact that he robbed me
of the choice of whether or not I wanted to be with him after the first time. We all have a limited amount of time on this planet it should be my decision how I spend it, and I feel that he cheated me out of that by portraying himself as a faithful man in this union when he wasn't. The pain I can deal with, but don't be deceitful or dishonest and try to trick me into being with you.

So what if Winan has supposedly ripped the background beat from The Fugees', which he didn't... and he did ask permission off ENYA who can really take the credit. Don't get me wrong I love The Fugees but this song is beautiful. No one can complain that this is ripped off from the Fugees song 'Ready or Not'... because they ripped it from Enya who the back ground song DOES belong to, At least Mario Winans asked Enya to use it in this song unlike the jerks from the fugees who stole it and end up getting sued. So it's ENYA who you can hear in the background not the Fugees E-N-Y-A
...and I think it adds something very nice to the song a bit of feeling and emotion

Another thing is how can anyone call themselves an artist when all of their music derives almost completely from other peoples artistic talent, hard work, and original creativity. Of course that is just my opinion, and well I have to say it is definitely a very real opinion. I mean why doesn't someone call themselves Method Human and state how they came up with a wonderful new song called 'M.E.T.H.O.D. Human'. P.Diddy does it again! A classic beat has now been turned in to a modern hit. Don't get it twisted, the Fugees original was and always will be a classic, but Mario Winans soft but urban vocals (the best verse on I Need A Girl prt2) adds another dimension to this tune. Combined with P.Diddy's instrumental tweeking, it is now a must have for any DJ at any club and party up and down the country. I don't 100% agree with the lyrics, in fact I don't agree with them at all, but the package is there in full affect...no doubt!!!
