Alicia Keys If I Ain't Got You is the song that is so good that I haven't been heard for the last 15 years. Her outstanding, feminine vocal accompanied her solo piano work makes the song real good. Secondly of all, If I ain't got you is not only a song, it is a piece of art sending some meaningful messages about truth, true love, philsophy and meaning of life. Judgment from her vocal range, Alicia shows a relatively high degree of emotional maturity that far exceeds her peers. Alicia you are a real woman who knows what love is all about and show us the differentiation between love and materialism.
Thanks for you, for being so wise that the world will eventual gets your message of love. Thanks for singing the song so that the youth are being educated (so that they know how to treasure a relationship) and acknowledge your message in this song. Btw, your piano magic is so wonderful that Barry Manilow can't play piano as good you are.

I've been listening to all kinds of pop and rock music for over 30 years now. Seldom has a song caught my ear and my heart to quickly and directly as 'If I ain't got you' by Alicia Keys. Pure perfection, in every way: music, contents, performance, even the video adds an interesting 'twist' to this song.
What I mean is that the seemingly simple, yet timeless message 'your love means more to me than money or diamonds' is suddenly put in another perspective: the male lover appears to have broken the law in order to give his girl expensive presents; now he has to face the law, and his girl is badly suffering from his stupidity: she loses him to the jail while she absolutely did not need him to give her those expensive presents: his love was enough in itself, and losing him renders her world empty.
The message to all men out there is clear: please do give us, girls, your honest and sincere love; you cannot compensate for that by material goods - if that's your idea of 'love' you might even lose us..
It is really hard not to like, or even love, Alicia's talent. It helps that she is absolutely gorgeous, in many physical and vocal aspects - but even without her good looks I would put her CD on, and on, and on.

Alicia Keys has certified herself as a real woman with the message of this song. Compare it to Trina's song 'Big Ol D' and you shall understand what I mean. Most women strive for the world without actually attempting to earn it, but have it handed to them by their rich boyfriends. This video shows what a real woman/girlfriend should be. But on another subject, the sound and lyrics are pleasant and the images of a snowy New York soothes me and makes me envy the citizens of the city.
