ok i have read some of these pplz comments and how could u say that amy lee has no talent she is a great singer she can make her voice go from reely low to reely high shes beautiful and even though she writes about depressing things so what at least she writes about real things and true feeling instead of some song about sex or lovin somone and not bein with them or about sumthin stupid like that she reely tries her best to put her feeling into her songs unlike not caring and just writing whatever she puts her TRUE feelings into her music so that its o pure and so truthful so u cant sit there and say she has no talent this song is my favorite and along with hello bring me to life and going under i love all of her songs she has so much talent and 2 #159 how can u say that she has talent and she not wasting it u can go listen to sum britney spears and christina aguleria but were gonna be listening to sum true talent im not saying they dont have talent i mean christina has a great powerfull voice even amy said so but they arent as true as amy her songs go deep and ppl love that and u wonder y she has a depressing life she has had alot of changes in her life and alot of things happen to her like losing her 3 year old sister at the age 6 how painfull would that be she writes about a liftime experience she writes about things taht have scared her 4 life or things / memories that will be with her 4ever not somthing that happens constantly like a breakup or makeup so just think about that for a while see what u think then ! and im not trying to be mean i just cant see how u can say somone has no talent but they have produced an album and made it through there dream if they had no talent they wouldent be here

Awesome song. I was up all night that I could'nt sleep, because I couldnt get this song out of my head. the tune is so classic and somehow depressing, 'cause Immortal means that it never dies or remains alive for eternity, but I really like this song.

Evanescence might be a bit commercial, and they may pherhaps got few rally lame tunes, but Amy Lee is a really good singer! 10 points to Amy Lee. I really hope we will hear more from that really talented girl.

My Immortal's a great song and Amy Lee is still an incredible singer. Additionally, she dresses well with the clothes that she designs, whether she wears a dress or petticoat skirt with a corset or tank top and boots with armwarmers onstage, she is still Amy Lee and a beautiful person like everyone else.

An outstanding blending of classical piano, awesome vocals, great electric guitar rock, and such a deep emotional sentiment in her voice that makes the listener feel like they are living in the the experience of what the song is about..... loss and heartbreak. Now days... few songs can capture this range of emotion like Amy Lee did with this song. A talented singer and pianist. Great CD.

Could all radio stations - including the lousy internet radios which for some reason only have 123 songs in their playlist - please, please, please stop playing this song. It's not bad but it becomes so annoying after hearing it every day for one year.

Unitelligent music for unintelligent people. This band made it big with a Linkin Park-like guitar riff. Its sad a bunch of divorced women and over-weight teens like this song. Throw a sweatershirt over your ugliness and save your self...lame. Weak minded feel sorry for me music. If you do like this band, you obviously like people to listen to your problems... The funny thing is this band is already gone and just got lucky. Absolutely zero talent...please continue to waste your time liking a band that offers zero solutions to problems and screams about them. 4th grade rock lives on...

This song really annoys me. In fact, I dislike it so much that it's almost the only song I've written something bad about. I didn't want to give it a 0, because, hey, at least they tried, but I couldn't rate this song much higher than a 1, because is it really even a song? I honestly don't understand why Amy Lee isn't using her talent for something of better quality. This song is very depressing and upsetting. Every time I hear it I feel as if it should just start pouring down rain, and that I should try and drown myself. If those are the feelings that a song gives you, is it really a song that can be considered good? I don't think so. I apoligize if not everyone out there shares my opinion, but I'm just saying what I think of this song. I tried to be polite about it, and I'm sorry if anyone who really likes this song thought I was being rude, but I just felt like I had to say how terrible I think this song is. I first heard and liked this song along with 'bring me to life' when they were released on the Daredevil soundtrack TWO YEARS AGO!! Why the hell did it take so long to make it to the charts? 'Bring me to life' went straight to the charts 2 yrs ago.

When I first heard this song, I was obsessed. I believe that Amy is talented and has the most unique/beautiful voice on the radio. I hope that Evanescence makes more CDs because generally after a group loses a member, like them losing Ben Moody, their longevity isn't great. I'd like to see Amy do a colaboration with one of the punk/geek rock groups out there today like Simple Plan, Maroon 5, or Good Charlotte. Good luck AMY! Thanks for the great song!

Awesome song. One of their best. Then again the whole album rocks especially the tracks 'Torniquet' and 'Hello'.I cry when ever I hear 'my immortal', i think anyone who really listens to it really can not only relate but feel the pain and the beauty of it all. Wish they wouldn't flog it on the radio though. Don't know about the States but over here in Australia they are. It fully stuffs up the songs emotional impact.

It's a pretty good song. Nice lyrics and pretty good singing by Amy. Unfortunately it's another one of those overplayed songs that eventually get on your nerves after hearing it about 70 million times. Otherwise it's a pretty damn cool song. 'Everybody's Fool' and 'Whisper' are my favourites off their album.

And it will be around as a recurrent play right through the summer and through the year. lol not too thrilled about so called 'rock' music. they're all kinda lame in terms of new tunes. Evanescence is one of my favorite rock bands i luv them so much. Amy has the best voice ever. I agree Hilary, BRITTAny, Lindsey, JANET,Justin can get off the air and let rock stars that know how to sing instend of crying. Evanescence is real! They aren't like Hilary and Britney, meaning they actually have talent. I think they are great and Amy's voice is amazing. Hi everyone. I became so high two days ago that I had to be token to the hospital. Man, I still feel what happened to me two days ago. That was the most un-fun thing that had ever happened to me in my life. Heck, I can barely remember it. It's so hard to describe the roller coaster of emotions that flow in this truly amazing song. The magic of the lyrics is only surpassed by the melody in which it nests. The theme is extremely sad, making hard for the song to be welcomed, enjoyed and remembered from the majority of music enthousiasts. It's principal reason relates to the fact that feeling and expressing sad emotions is preferred to be avoided by the common person.

I have either good or bad news for you people (depending on whether you're an Evanescence fan or not). The person who sent review #95 under my name is a fortune-teller. That's right, a fortune-teller. Just a minute ago, for the plain heck of it, I did look at these lyrics and I did go 'what the hell?'. This song is so beautiful!! This song is trully differen't and it sends out a message, about someone being there and will always be there for someone, in life or death. Always watching out for that special someone that has a deep place in their heart and will never be forgotten. It's also about someone wanting to forget somebody else, someone that will always remain in their memories wether they like it or not. Someone losing someone and wanting to move on, but that person's image is still deep within their thought. I really like this song, it's really deep and just something you don't hear everyday.

I just heard this song for the first time, and I haven't been able to listen to it without tears coming to my eyes. One year ago today I lost my best friend (she was only 21) in a car accident, so when I heard this song I immediately related to the sadness and pain conveyed. It's so hauntingly beautiful. People may speculate what it's about, but I think it's an amazing song of mourning for loved ones lost - whether in a breakup or in death.

Wow. I thought this song was so beautiful and haunting already...and then I read a parent's review of the song who heard it after losing her little boy to cancer in October. Now, I just want to cry hearing it!! The words are so fitting for someone who has gone through something like that. This would actually be a beautiful song for a memorial service. I do love this song. It's haunting and moving, and I even like the way she turns her head in the video when she sings, 'Your presence still lingers here,' as if she senses a spiritual presence nearby, or something. Other than that, I don't get the video. The sad guy walking around with the tie...that type of thing. By the lyrics, I would assume she's mourning the death of someone. I think it would have been better if the video reflected that...would have added to the sadness/haunt factor. The song, to listen to, is beautiful. Some of the lyrics should have been altered a bit....maybe to say 'when I cried you'd wipe away all of my tears...' I think it would have been better, like that person took care of her, and now they are gone....that type of thing. I'm really just nit-picking, though. It's really a lovely song, and I love the background vocals. I also like how you don't expect it, but it starts to turn rock toward the end of the song. Weird. Evanescence is a good, weird band. Amy's beautiful, haunting, and mournful voice is as feminine as they come, but she just seems to fit so well with the music her band plays. The real test will be their second album....let's see what they do, and if they fall victim to to 'Sophomore Syndrome'.

I have this best friend named Natalie who used to be neighbors with Hilary Duff when they were just little kids back in Texas. Hilary wasn't famous or anything but Natalie and her were the best of friends. Then, Natalie moved to Massachusetts, where I met her. Hilary and Natalie have stayed in touch since the move. They're still great friends. A few weeks ago, Natalie got a call from Hilary. Hilary's said that she's pregnant! Her and Frankie Muniz had sex at this crazy party, just to be wild and spontaneous! now, this 16 year old star is pregnant! Natalie couldn't believe it! To me Evanescence is a great band cause they sing/write about real experience not like 50 cent or g-unit or whatever hes called, they dont talk about clubbing and stripping. but then i dont have G-unit (or is it Jay-unit?) The radio-released version destroyed the song for me. I really was brought to tears when I first heard the song (I don't know if it's about death or breakup, but my mother had just died weeks before). Radio versions suck to begin with, but her voice is WAY off on the radio version and her pure, emotional tone vanishes with the first line.

I really love this song. I love the whole album. I have to say though, the album version is better than the single version. The song is so heart-breaking and beautiful, and the guitars and drums don't fit in with that.

That´s the best song of the album.Strong lyrics and a beautiful voice of Amy Lee.You can feel the sadness and pain that´s why I like it.

Words cannot express the way this song tore at my heart. I cried when I heard this for the first time, and I've listen to it a thousand times thereafter, and it still makes the hair on my arms stand on end. So sad, but yet it brings so much peace.

This song captured my attention right away because of the opening. I heard this while listening to a random channel on the radio, then got home and found out all I could about it.

hi every1, ive only got one thing to say about this album.its amazing.ive recently been put on anti- depressants however when i listen to this music it makes me feel happy.for some reason!i love this band and believe i am there truly biggest fan even though that sounds so cliche.I love amyeverything about amy lee and dont u think that shes so pretty!thanx love luke xxxx

WOW! Just heard My Immortal for the first time while channel surfing and catching the video. Extremely moving lyrics and the video just makes them POP! I am now absorbing all the info I can get on Evanescence. Excellent group.

Unlike someone said, you can't hear Amy Lee's pain in 'My Immortal' 'cos Ben Moody wrote it not her! I think the one version on the album is better than the single because it doesnt have the thrashing of drums and guiatrs. I love guitars as much as the next gal but it messes up the song.

Well...it's settled. Amy Lee is officially THE best singer in the world. (though I've known that for months) Her voice just makes you say 'Wow...just amazing. The only thing with the song is that I liked the song better without the band interlude...but still great.

I love this song, but not just because I'm a BIG fan of evanescence, I think that you can feel her pain in this song, and that the video's setting was great.It makes me think aboout a lot. It is so different from all of her other songs, because it is softer and a slow, calming song, with some rock at the end, but it fits in perfectly with the song.She has such an amazing voice, and it was perfect for this video.It makes you think this came out of experience, and from her heart instead of some person that is sad and writes this song, hoping the public will like it.I love how the scenes switch from person to person, or the same person in a different place.And the black and white makes you wonder what time this takes place in.It also makes you wonder what kind of lifestye these people are living in.This video makes me think a lot about my own experiences, and I must agree I feel horrible when I break up with someone I am so serious bout, who promises me so much.This video and song can relate to all of our lives, in some sort of way.

This song has the potential to be a classic. It also has the potential to be a Grammy nominated song. Whether you like Evanescence or not is not important, but all of the stereotypes that you may have had with their first two singles Going Under and Bring Me to Life should be put to rest. It's not overproduced and it doesn't sound like Linkin Park. And keep in mind, Ben Moody, the guitarist wrote this song not too long after he met Amy Lee when they were about 15 years old. Anybody that can write a song with such a timeless quality is talented.

This song is awsome, i love it like i do bring me 2 life, i gave it a 9 because i dont think its will be a 'classic' but it is my favorite slow song as of now, and will be for a long time, cant stop listening 2 it.
