Not what I expected from Kylie. I was pleasantly surprised... I was over dance/pop stuff all the time. She seems somewhat sexier after her break up with Olivier. Surprising seeing as she's nearlly forty. Go Kylie!

If you had no preconceptions of what a 'typical' Kylie song sounded like, then '2 Hearts' would probably be an instant hit - in your mind at least. But the fact that '2 Hearts' is somewhat of a deviation from the pop/dance Kylie that returned to us in 2000 actually holds back '2 Hearts'. Thus, as many have stated online, '2 Hearts' is a grower. But it's only a grower because it's not what we expected as Kylie's 'big comeback' single. Everyone expected 'Spinning Around' or 'Can't Get You Out of My Head.' We all thought maybe Kylie had learned a lesson from taking a chance on moving forward with new music styles when she released, 'Slow' - a UK #1 that disappeared from the charts rather quickly. Following, 'Body Language,' the singles, 'I Believe in You' and 'Giving You Up,' lead us to think that Kylie had gotten the message - we like dance/pop, 'bubble gum' Kylie. Still, Kylie must move forward. Ironically, that's what has kept her around all these years - even with less successful albums (and completely under-appreciated) like, 'Impossible Princess.' Kylie takes a chance, learns from her lessons and grows. She is true pop phenomenon. Kylie stays true to her pop/dance roots while deviating just enough to keep her audience on their toes. It's always very exciting to wait and see, 'what's next' for Kylie. Judging by '2 Hearts' and the clips I've heard of 'X' online, it seems like 'what's next' is what has always been, and always will be, more brilliant music from Kylie Minogue.
