Wasn't her first hit a Soft Cell ripoff? The guy below me hit the nail on the head. Most of these artist nowadys are on the spotlight purely for looks. While this song isn't as abysmal as Umbrella, it's still a prime example of why the music industry has gone down the sh**ter.

The reason someone signed her is because that person thought she looked good. If that person was employed by me, I would have fired him/her for signing such a terrible singer.

i disagree with a lot of people on here. while i dont believe this is a classic song to be around for years. the lyrics are good, the tunes good, it has ne-yo in it, and guys if rihanna is so bad - why did someone sign her up 4 a record deal!

I agree that Rhianna is past her prime. Box her up and ship her out. It be nice if she took Timbaland and Timberlake with her as well. All that crap is plyed out. Next wave please!!

umbrella was an awesome song...but she hasn't been able to touch the quality of that song with her following singles (shut up and drive and hate that i love you). Any two artists could have sang this, Ne-Yo brings nothing to the song, and Rihanna is past her prime. watch out for her next song to bring Rihanna back into the spotlight-Don't Stop the Music!

Again some loser try to pass off me using my name. Come out & say who you are you loser maggot. The reality is that this kind of music sux to high heaven and should be stopped at all costs. I must admit this song rocks. Rihanna is really talented and her singing ability really stands out on this son. This one'a a keeper a classic for future generations to cherish and remember. Besides Rihanna's great voice she is really HOT!!! Ne-Yo is the future of R&B. It can't get any better than this. I am a lifetime Rihanna fan.

I wish she would stop releasing songs off that stupid cd of hers. No one is gonna remember her crappy music in 5 years. I'd skin my own d*** if she was ever to get inducted into the music hall of fame
