this is the third album this person has done in the last two years, and each one is worse than the one before, yet has bigger hits than the previous.Please dont make another album, EVER! oh and please say youre a fraud so we will never have to put up with such garbage ever again

Whats bad about this song? EVERYTHING! from the beginning when jay-z metions the name of the album and the artist(which rappers annoyingly do too much)to rhyming stones with dow jones(what a joke), to the repetivness of umbrella ella ella eh eh. whats worse is that is and many more artists of her caliber such as sean kingston,avril lavinge,chris brown,and even gwen stefani are going to be to this decade as what elvis, the stones,and zeppplin were to theirs(i am not critizing the previous three artists mentioned, im just making a point at how bad the music scene has changed). Seriously people, do you really want that? oh yeah the video is stupid too.

People who say this song sucks probably do know what music is, they sit in a corner all day listening to people who can't sing like Rihanna screaming to gay ass 'rockish' tunes, get it through your fuc.king head, screamo f****s need to be shot, then bashed, then shot again, I mean pop music like Umbrella is bad, but at least you can hear what they are saying. Typical Screamo song. Sitting alone in a dark corner, thinking about why she left me, WHYBLARRRRGHHNYARRRRRGGHHHHHHHHHGARRRGHHHHHHHROARHHHHHHHH So i'm thinking about suicide blah blah blah, JARHHHHFARRRRRGARHHHHHHBLARHHHHHHHHHH You get the point. I am Gay and I'm proud. I love Rihanna cuz she plays to a Gay audience and I am proud to be part of that Gay audience. Kudos Rihanna!!

This is Rihanna's best song to date. It's much better than that machine driven dribble like S.O.S. and the others that she put out. Jay-Z knows how to mold an artist. Nicely done!

I agree with the magority, this song is s**t. In fact anything relatively sounding like this wishy/washy Crap Hop music should be burned. I think it's time Rock N Roll took over the charts again. Listen to Velevet Revolver and Smashing Pumpkins. That's music. I think Hip Hop has worn out it's welcome. The fans want something new. I say overthrow all the CEOs of the record companys and give the charts back to real musicians like Amy Winehouse and Greenday. The Dr. has spoken!

haha this song is so funny. one thing is its annoying. ella ella ella gets in your head and drives you mad. second her lyrics are suggestive..does anyone see the lyrics? Umbrella? Come into me? ever heard the metaphor dont go out in the rain without your umbrella( or rain coat). It cant be random lyrics. This will go down like 'Milkshake' came and went. Kelis said she had no idea what it meant. yeah right. Rihanna is a good artist she just needs to find her style.

i liked previous songs of Rihanna's but the umbrella song is TERRIBLE! it is over played and doesnt even have good lyrics! no offence but could someone explain to me why it is still number 1, its the worst song ever thought of. Rihanna is very talented but should never have brought that song out, or request it to be played less because it is being killed!

I have to say that I didn't like this song at first- but it's grown on me and now I find myself unable to get 'ella, ella, eh, eh, eh' out of my head haha. I saw her perform this live and she impressed me... not bad.

This song is by far THE most annoying song on the radio. She is an awful singer who is lucky enough to be beautiful. Do yourself a favor, change the channel or find the mute button as soon as you hear the first note.

Rihanna the queen of warbling, is still the undisputed champ. This song sucks not as bad as her last (s)hit 'Unfaithful' but even WORSE!!! I thought Unfaithful was an annoying listen, but 'Umbrella' is even worse..it's totally unlistenable and the lyrics and phrasing totally suck. I guess Rihanna's singing is improving with each hit, yes..from worse to much worse. Rihanna you need an Umbrella because you are ALL WET!!!!
