Still love this song after all these months of hearing it over and over on the radio. I think it's great that Rob Thomas can step out of his band for a year or two and try something different. I heard an interview with him where he said the only prerequisite of this solo album was that it wouldn't be just another MB20 album with a different band. And he succeeded. The album is a stretch for him creatively and I love the many different genres that he pulls off - pop, soul, rock, alt-country, world, etc. And I think it is cool that two of Rob's songs got Grammy nominations in two different categories - pop & rock. Job well done for a very talented singer/songwriter!

I really love this song and i hate all of you f***ing haters! MB20 was a rock band and what the hell! Leave Rob alone just because he created a new song doesnt mean it has to sound EXACTLY LIKE MATCHBOX TWENTY! Well, excuse him for being creative! And so what if he cant dance? I bet none of ya'll can dance! So why you talking sh**?! I really really really really love this song so, UP YOURS! I bet if you tried to go solo after being in a band for friggin almost 10 years, i bet you would have a rocky start too. So all of you haters need to SHUT THE f*** UP and stop hating. Besides, if this is such a 'bad' song, then why was it the 6th best video (out of 40) for the year 2005? Huh? Huh? I thought so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am Hispanic and yes, i can be loud. But all of you guys pi** me off!

Not bad. Just alright. It's a pop song, though, while Matchbox 20 was a rock band.

it's not ur typical MB20 song but it is not MB20 for GOD'S SAKE!!!!!!!!!!! that's why he went solo!!!!!! if he wanted to do a MB20 type song than he would have done it as MB20 coz he writes their songs anyway!!!! and i bet u haters out there wudn't even hate this song as much if it wasn't rob who sang it. he listens to many different types of music and he just expressing that. he doesn't have to please everyone all the time u know!!! if u like u like it, if u don't then u don't. why r u wasteing ur time here dissing him!!!! just so y'all know rod thomas is not matchbox 20, he is his own person, so deal with it!!!!!!!

Rob Thomas basically just made the biggest mistake of his life by going solo. Matchbox 20 had a much, much better sound than the Backstreet Boys crap that Rob sings now. It looks like he has been pussey whipped and went soft on us Matchbox 20 fans.

This song is average at best. A Sellout. Not A bad song, but a sellout nonetheless. Why Rob Why?' Those creative differences have ended so many bands like The Cars, Journey, Van Halen and Oh don't forget No Doubt, who are on the way to oblivion, because of Gwen's Holla Back CRAP!

Wicket says that Rob 'Sell Out' Thomas nu song doesn't match that sureal intlectual power of Paul (Boheme) Bono of U2. His lyrics are lame, he is a big $ell out. Only U2 can sell out more! Only Aerosmith can save us now! Only... help the world Steven...

If there is any celebrity that annoys the hell out of me, it would have to be ROb Thomas. he looks like a damn bird, I HATE HOW HE LOOKS! And he has no talent whatsoever, when he sings, he has to strain so much you can see his veins pop out in his neck and he looks like a baby bird screaming for a worm from it's mother. I HATE THIS SONG AND I HATE YOU ROB THOMAS! YOU TALENTLESS NOTHING~!

This song is well-produced, catchy, and well-performed. But why is it so bad? Maybe because Rob went from the soul-less pop-rock schlock of Matchbox 20 to his new image as a shorn, ear ringed, and hoodied poser. He is singing music that he doesn't have the earnestness nor the authenticity to pull off, and maybe they should have had Usher do it, since he is actually talented. What does Rob want to be, a mere pop star and make a ton of money? Ok he is that and has done that. Does he want to make a musical statement that will endure and prevent him from being relegated to the annals of 'Whatever happened to this guy?' Probably not.

Rob Thomas has done it again. His new album is spectacular. He delivers a bit of everything in this album: love, anger, desire, companionship and comfort. His smooth, soulful and even folksy voice carries the balanced, deeply touching and thought-provoking lyrics he writes himself. I think he may have written a lot of this material over the years, since the songwriting and the beats are too good to be rapid-fire mass-produced (like so much of the music out there). I would definitely recommend this album to everyone, and especially to MB20 fans (you appreciate good music, you will love this cd). Check this out from track #3: 'Falling down, under the pale moonlight, you were holding on to me like someone broken. And I couldn't tell you, but I'm telling you now. Just let me hold you while you're falling apart...Fall on me, tell me everything you want me to be...' Beautiful isn't it? Wait until you hear it for yourself.

So now Laura Branigan (Self Control) meets Enrique Iglesias (Bailamos). Rob ThomaS!!! Et tu? I have been such a huge huge huge fan of MB20 that listening to this terrily overproduced track over and over again on the radio has been a big time heartbreak. That 'self control'-styled chorus! It grates... My heart sinks. Hope the coming singles are better. All I can say is that Rob's adventure into candyfloss tops those of Jewel and Liz Phair. His voice is the sole comfort in the song.

Not exactly in love with this song, but then again, I didn't like 'Disease' when I first heard that. My guess is that this was sent out as a 'scout' to get a gauge on the reaction to RT as a soloist. Thomas is SO freakin' talented and deep in his writing and music that you can bet the balance of the album will have plenty of MB20 type tunes. MB20 is damn near a cult--if you know them you love them, but most folks hear one of the tunes and don't know who it is. The MB20's will rip this one quickly to the top of the charts because of RT and what we know he can do. We'll love the CD for the 'non-pops', those that we hook on to, but will never get top 40 play. There will be 2-3 top 40's on here (Lonely no more included) that will keep it on the charts It'll stay on the charts, because of those.

I have waited years and years and years for Rob to come out with a song you can actually DANCE to! Okay, if I plan to commit suicide, commit myself to a mental institution, or endlessly feel sorry for myself i can listen to his first four albums (TB and MB20). But now i can jump around in my underwear in front of the mirror, and actually have an appropriate track to back me up. Throughout music history every time a rock artist comes out with a dance album they are critized as a sell out, but i say WHY THE f*** NOT! Music is not only meant to be felt with h half an inch of skin in your head, but with your heart and soul as you move your body to the beat! So f*** all y'all haters, go have fun buying your usher (*pukes*) cds.

Hey AJ, i have to say it, thank god. All I can say is sell out. I have been a hardcore MB20 fan since the days of tabithas secret. And this was a huge disappointment. I have to say the song is ok, but not what I have come to expect from him. And i am going to guess the rest is the same. Unfortunatly he has become such a driving force in the music world that no one have the balls to say what they really think. And and dear Rob if you ever see things like this, no more rinestones on the shirts.

the song is okay, the fact he went solo for now it f***ing sucks. I am a huge Matchbox 20 fan and now we'll probably have to wait another two years for another album since it seems to take f***ing forever for them to make a cd. most bands wait a good two years to make a new cd but there other album came out in 2002. remember (Disease, Unwell, Bright lights) all big hits. he will be big but not as good as in the band.

I think he did a great job solo! I love the song and the video is sexy as hell!! I can't wait to hear more from this album which I will buy! I'm a huge Matchbox Twenty fan! I own all their cd's and have seen them in concert. Rob is a great songwriter also look at songs he's wrote for Santana and Willie Nelson. I don't think he is a sell out of any kind! Yeah Push was a deep song but if you listen to the words of this one so is it! Anyway I wish him all the best but do hope MB20 gets back together at least for a record!

That's the problem with people now,you can't be a fan if you aren't adaptable. So what, the artist wants to take direction. Does that make him a poor song writer or singer, nope. Rob Thomas is as usual always soulful and a rare independent talent. I'm glad he has broke away and attempted to find himself. This song is hot from the lyrics to the music. I give it a 8,with room for improvement. I want to see what else he has up his sleeve. Can't wait!

I'm a die hard mb20 fan, and this was not what i was expecting from Rob's first solo venture. All the reviews I've read say that its an awesome track and that its going to be one of the big hits of the year. How come no one is thinking what i'm thinking...sell out!! How could someone who wrote something as deep as Push, write something so trashily commercial as 'Lonely no more', it sounds like a justin timberlake impression.
