Wow. This song is a train wreck. Inane lyrics, uninspired beat, and flat-out annoying vocals by someone who used to be talented. The only reason I didn't give this song a zero rating is because it doesn't feature Nelly, Sisqo, or Chingy. Awful, a word that sums up this song very well. I was somewhat of a fan of No Doubt back in the 90's, but Gwen's solo material is terrible. This song is poorly written, uninspired, and on top of all that, the mixing job was horrible (though good mixing would'nt save this song). Bananas?!?! What the hell is happening to music nowadays?!?! I blame all you morons who like this song for the sh*tty radio programs we have today, because you will blindly follow anything that MTV says is cool. People who like this song have garbage taste in music.

I never was a big fan of No Doubt, but some of their songs are interesting (e.g. Hey Baby, Hella Good). Besides, they at least know good music: It's my life from TalkTalk.
Gwen solo, however, is not interesting to me at all: She is just one of the musically poor hip-hop acts under many others. No singing, no melody anymore.
Kind of sad, as she surely has on of the prettiest girl-bellies out there - without piercing! :-)

This song is just plain crap. I downloaded this to see why it was so high up on the charts and couldn't even listen to it through once. Last time I heard Gwen was still white. I love NO Doubt's 'Hey Baby', but this is just plain TRASH. the melody is gone. She sounds like a Lttle Kim wannabe. I prefer Pink over this garbage anyday. I can't believe Gwen sold out to the HIP Hop crap style and I can't believe this is higher that 3 Doors Down on many charts.

Chris seems to be the only one here that doesn't blatantly praise the song...nor does he simply state over and over again that 'this song sucks.' There are others, I know, but he gave good reasoning within his criticism. Enough Chris praising, I will say this: If you like this song, you have bad taste in music, simple as that. The lyrics blow...the background 'beat' is mediocre AT BEST, and Gwen's voice is...well...let's just say she isn't really singing as much as humming/rapping (very poorly I might add). It's funny how people like Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey barely lift a finger during the production of their cds and get unparalleled praise while bands like...oh...In Flames (before Soundtrack To Your Escape...let's just say during the times of/between Whoracle and Clayman...when their talent was at its peak) get no recognition for their: unbelievable lyrics, awesome melodies that rarely, if ever get redundant (again, BEFORE Sountrack To Your Escape) and vocals that, once combined with the aforementioned and great ingenuity, knock you flat on your ass. Based upon the other reviewers, I can honestly say the end of the world is upon us. And for those of you that are reading this and the voice in your head is angrily saying 'HE R WRONG BOUT US WE LIKEZ GRET MUZIK,' I must caution you to NOT write a one 'sentence,' all caps response in which you say 'HOLLABACK GIRL IS AWSUM UR WRONG' because it will do nothing but make you look...well...mentally ill, oh, and because: You don't like great music and you are about as intelligent as the average computer user that can't quite figure out WHY your computer crashes every two years...I mean...who needs virus and firewall protection anyway? Spyware? That doesn't exist...it's just like asbestos. Stop listening to stupid music. You don't deserve that mp3 player your parents gave you, you will just fill it up with garbage. This isn't limited to Gwen Stefani, it also includes boy bands (the Backstreet Boys are a great example) and 'boy' bands (Hoobastank). There are many others, in fact, most music does suck, which, odds are, is exactly what you listen to. The best way to avoid having bad taste, is to simply stop listening to music. I assure you, you don't deserve being able to hear, let alone have your 'life enhanced.'

Easily one of the worst songs i've ever heard in my life. She can barely sing, and without no doubt's instrumentation the song is incredibly and embarassingly flat. The song is great. I love the beat, it gets me going. What I don't understand is why she went all 'highschool' with it. Not like I'm b*tching, but she is older than me and I'm almost 30. But whatever, the song rocks. Me and my 8 yr old daughter sing it in the car together, she loves it too. And the person who said the money will be rolling in during football season is right. This song is the S***. Reminds of me 'Hey Nicki' and Queen's 'We Will Rock You.' Gwen is a genious, the money will really be rolling in for her during football season. The only mistake she may have made was to not release it in early August/September.

It's weird, the first time i heard this song I didn't like it, but after i listened to it i noticed that this was always the song that got stuck in my head. Though it's not what we are used to hearing from Gwen, it is pretty good. You have to get past the highschool lyrics and take into account that it was written w/ Pharell Williams. All-in-all it really grew on me.
