WWE No Way out 2003, used this as the official theme, and since then, i've loved this song, Evanescence is awesome. This is there best song, better than 'My Immortal', Better Than 'Missing'. One Of my all time top 5 songs!!

First heard thsi song as the theme song for WWE No Way Out 2003 and reulted in evanescence becoming my favourite band I love this song ..Amy's beautiful voice combined with the rants of Paul Mccoy and it's associated with my favourite form of sport and entertainment.....WWE. This is one of my favorite songs...ever. And that's not just some cheap lie that's going to fade away when Evanescence is someday hated by everyone, like all artists eventually are. *sigh* I feel as if I have some personal connection to 'Bring Me to Life'...ever since I first heard it, when a teacher at my school did this baton-twirling routine to it at a talent show years ago, and a few days later she was in a terrible accident and went into a coma. She still has not woken up. It's like she danced out her own fate before it even happened...that's the power that Evanescence holds for me. Their music is so passionate, and unlike so many singers these days, Amy Lee has a voice that could blow the music industry out of this world, and you don't see her taking her clothes off or anything. *cough* Britney Spears *cough*...but anyway...I wrote a story based on 'Bring Me to Life' and listened to it in a loop constantly for inspiration, but never once did it get old. I don't think it ever will. It is more than just a 'Goth song'...if ever a song had passion and power and innocence and anger wrapped up in a whirlwind of torrential, anguished emotion, it is this one, and that power is not going to stop haunting me any time soon.

i absolutely love bring me to life, and would die to meet evanesance, or just amy lee. sometimes, i just listen to the lyrics closely and i really get amy lee's message in the song. althought im a girly girl, i still love evanesance. Go evanesance!! you rock!! l love u!!

I would not be entirely surprised if evanescence raided a elementery school for all the fourth graders poems. It's bands like these that inspire kids, and masochistic females to be depressed. When you are establishing to people that you can get a grammy using over emphasized pronouns and weak rhythms then you have established to me that the music industry is the worst it has ever been.
On the subject to linkin park, atleast they were artists, even if the music was easily done, it was easily done for a melodic beat. Evanescence on the other hand, are a dirivitive of THE dirivitive. Comparing the two together is almost silly, I had it thought for sure that evanescence would bomb for the pure fact that only one of their songs sounds relatively nice, and the movie their music was showcased totally bombed. Cutters and goths, they are all alike, believing they were ousted from recieving any attention, think no one loves them.
I ask you this, when was the last time your mom asked you to go somewhere with her, the last time you called a friend and you know he LOVES YOU. Masochistic pseudo goth girls are lost in stereotypical mainstream crap, life doesn't have to be that way, go out there and date that guy who has loved you, and has always been there for you, even when he has seen other guys date you. ...why do i bother

Brilliant, stunning single. The female vocals are absolutely amazing, the song captivates you, then, a bloke comes in rapping, u think WTF? then the songs swings back to amy lee....GENIUS....the rap compliments the females vocals brilliantly, truely one of the best songs i've ever heard....CALL MY NAME AND SAVE ME!!!!!

Evanescence so totally rock! Why do people always say there songs are about christians and stuff??? Well i have something 2 say 2 u. If you do ur research u will see that their songs are not i repete are not about christians at all but about emotion and feelings. This song is great! I love this song. I don't like 'Bring Me To Life (Mixman Mike's Club Mix)' because it is way too fast. But, I like this song. It is great! If/when you saw the video on VH1 or MTV about a year ago before the album FALLEN was released, it gave you a great aspect of what was to be of the album, which is a beautiful, gothic blend of irrestible dark songs. Although, 'Bring Me To Life' is not my favorite song from Evanescence ('Where Would You Go' is), it is still a great song.

This song is for idiots. This album is for morons. This genre is for angst filled preteens with nothing better to do than to engage in the disgustingly self-indulgent hobby of pseudo-depression (it's SO hard being upper middle-class and white). Anyone who thinks that the filthy broad who fronts this band is anything more than just some skank the producer ripped off the streets [of Beverly Hills] is sadly mistaken. I mean, the album has celebrity drummers/choral singers for god's sake! So much for a homely debut. It's cornlogs like this that are making the American music scene a wasteland (also: Good Charlette, Avril Lavigne, Dashboard Confessional, and any other cookie-cutter TRL filler).
The music is monotonous, uncreative, and is attached to the worst fanbase imaginable. This goes to prove the Grammys don't mean anything.
For those of you who gave this anything over a zero, reevaluate your reasons for living. For those of you who have seen Evanescence in concert, skip this process and become acquainted with a shotgun blast to the face.

I truly love Evanescence and all of their songs on their Fallen album, Bring Me to Life and My Immortal being my 2 most favourites. Amy Lee is gorgeous and has an absolutely sensational voice! I also love that she has written the lyrics to all the songs with Ben Moody. I really respect that. They were touring in Australia recently and I wanted to see them so bad, but couldnt afford it. Oh well... Next time! :o)

Amy Lee's voice sure is different from most of the vocals you hear in goth metal, but I wouldn't call it better. For some reason it just really annoys me instead of entrancing me. Plus, the pseudo-Christian lyrics don't fly with me. Rock music should be about the devil! But anyway, the problem with Evanescence is that they are a perfectly average metal band with the distinguishing characteristic of having a 'unique' singer. Prediction: one hit wonder.

I am concerned that this song is coming close to the Tonic 'If You Can Only See' factor. By that I mean that the song is excellent at first when primarily played on alternative radio, but then other radio outlets - rock, adult alternative, modern, pop - start picking the song up on their rotation and start to play it on a frequent annoying basis (you could flip to three different stations and hear the same friggin song) to the point where you hate radio. This type of musical saturation is similar to that Tonic song back in the late 90s. That song was OK when first played on radio, but within three years, the song was getting annoying (Emerson Hart must be really desperate), and it got so ridiculous that I was having nightmares on hearing this song on AN R&B STATION!!! Let's hope that Evanescence doesn't fall into that same trap. The album as a whole is very good and at times moving (check Track 4).

I think I'll go with Buzzkut and Dr.Phil (hey, weren't you on Oprah??) I'm not too sure about how 'authentic' it is, but I will say this: it sounds like just another pop song. HOWEVER there are some distinct differences between Evanescence and just any other group on the top 20. First, the lead singer has one hell of a voice. Very clear and strong. I even heard that people mistaked her for Sarah McLachlan; that can't be a bad comparison considering how successful she is. Another thing is that their other songs are not too bad. Going Under, My Immortal, and Hello are actually quite good, according to me. Did you guys know that they are a Christian band? So much for the rock roots you guys are talking about. Actually, they sound more Goth to me, at least the lyrics. Bottom line, I wouldn't change the station if this song came on, despite the rap addition and the slickness of it.

First heard this song as the theme tune to a WWE pay-per-view - didn't see the Daredevil film - and fortunately I recorded it so I could play it repeatedly. Downloaded this tune and the whole album before it was released (but bought it on the day it came out in UK) and have just bought the UK singles. I play this song at least twice a day and the whole album is fantastic too. I can't wait for the band to release more stuff!

Ya... Evanescence is a very new name in the rock music world. However, their first appearance makes them quite big in every part of the world. Why? Partly it's because of the movie DareDevil. However, it's the lyrics and the collaboration of the band members make this song an excellent one. Hmmm.... Okay, I was all hooked up to this track when it was first played on Malaysian radio. Every friend of mine said, 'Wow... this sounded like Linkin Park... but why is there a girl singing in that song?'. Haha, Evanescence did get lotsa attention from the teenagers around the globe at the moment they released this single. It's also great to name their music as 'similar to Linkin Park's music'. Hehe... 'Bring Me To Life' really rocks, no doubt. The thing that attracted me to this song is that Amy (vocalist for Evanescence) was the lead vocalist in the track while Paul McCoy (member of 12 Stones) was the background vocalist. It is a rare situation for me. But they collaborate well though. 'Bring Me To Life' has enough ability to compete with other major rock songs at the moment. I really thought this song had some great qualities. It sounds like a mixture of LINKIN PARK and SARAH MCLAUGHLAN all into one. I can't wait to hear more from EVENESCENCE.

Wow is what I first said when I heard 'Bring Me To Life' by Evanesence. I love all types of music because I grew up around it and because I'm a musician. I play Violin, Viola, Keyboard and a little of the drums. The vocals in this song is truly amazing and also the background. I havent heard the technique of having 3 melodies coming in at different time beats. One's on 4 and the other 2 are on 5 and 8. It's truly incredible. I love it when it comes on because I love to hear the climax and the metal. The lyrics behind this song is the best I've heard lately. I 1st heard it when I watched Daredevil on, Valentine's Day. This song is really great! It has sort of a strange background music and even though I don't listen to much rock, this song is really good. It starts off sort of slow, then develops into a type of song that is pretty rare. This song is from a pretty new group, but even still, the people know how to write & sing songs. If you've seen the music video, the song is like 2x better. Besides this the lyrics are fantastic and somewhat addicting. Like before, I said this song was rare, and I truly mean it. Songs today, do not come as polished as 'Bring Me To Life' does. Great backup, lead singer, music, and best of all the lyrics. If Evanescence could make all of there songs like 'Bring Me To Life', then they would become the Britney Spears of Rock.

gotta agree with 'evanescence goth guy' about the video. It is quite overdone. However the song rules. Amy Lee has such a powerful, great voice. The lyrics combined with her voice make the song seem very haunting. One of the best rock soundtrack songs the last few years.

I was knocked flat the first time I heard 'Bring me to Life'. From a classical musician's standpoint I thought that richness of sounds and the harmony and sub-melody was outstanding. The subtle rich tones and beats get right into your head. This is a song that can speak to everyone. I will definately be watching for more from this group. Outstanding music!

Far and away, this is the best song off the Daredevil s.t. When I first picked up the DD cd I scanned the tracks and saw groups that I normally listen to: Seether, Chevelle, Fuel, Nickelback, which is the reason I bought the disc. I also saw Evanescence and thought 'Why did they get 2 songs??'
But after listening to Bring Me To Life for the first time I immediately hit the back button to hear it again. Awesome song! Hopefully the rest of their new cd (due out March 4 I think) will be half as good as this song.

Phenomenal. I must have replayed this a dozen times in the last hour. A Linkin Park progressive-rock sound mixed with Amy Lee's soaring voice. It has such soul and a heartfelt urgency that separates this from your usual 'catchy-tune' radio heavy-rotation pop.

Incredible song from an incredible movie, 'DAREDEVIL'.This is an intense track used very well in the film as Elektra's training sequence.Big things are in store for this band.A definite 10. The contrast back and forth between the female lead and male backgrounds are what adds to the intensity of this track.

Awesome, awesome song. What an incredible debut from a new rock band. This group has it all: female lead, male background vocals, and killer instrumental. And the song speaks to audiences of all ages, concerned with a variety of troubles. I don't hand out 10's very often, but these guys totally deserve it for this song, it has truly done much to 'Bring Me To Life.'

Great song by an up-and-coming band. It's sung by a woman (Amy Lee), and that is rare for alternative rock, but the feminine voice is what contributes to the uniqueness and appeal of the song. The male voices in the background add nice contrast in the chorus.
