THO 100 for week ending February 6, 2010

With no big radio hits coming out of the United States last week, most of the new entries on the THO 100 come from songs that are UK hits. Leading the way is Sugababes with their latest single "Wear My Kiss." The Sugababes are no stranger to the chart, having previously charted 21 singles in the top 100 with seven of those in the top 10. Also debuting on the chart this week are UK hitmakers Amy MacDonald, Calvin Harris, Gabriella Cilmi, and JLS. Next week we'll need to analyze Lady GaGa's attempt to tie and possibly break the THO record for most weeks at #1 for a song. This week marks number 13 and the record is 15 weeks on top.

THO 100 Update for week ending July 25, 2009

The biggest debut this week comes from probably the smallest performer on the chart. She is definitely not known for her height, but Shakira packs one of the biggest voices, especially on this weeks' THO 100. Her latest single, "She Wolf," debuts at #52, easily in front of other debuts by Chicane, The Arctic Monkeys, Colbie Caillat, All-American Rejects, and Sugababes.

At the top of the chart, David Guetta holds on for another week at #1 with "When Love Takes Over" (featuring Kelly Rowland). Although we don't know exactly what will happen, most bets are on Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield" or the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" becoming the new #1 song. "Feeling" is the charts' largest point gainer this week.
