THO 100 for week ending January 30, 2010
Hip Hop superstar Jay-Z has reigned as one of the biggest names in the business for many years. With every successive album and single, he cements that status further, and the latest single is no exception. This week on the THO 100, "Young Forever" is both the greatest point gainer and has the largest chart move, up from #81 to #39. The song features Mr. Hudson, who also collaborated with Kanye West on two of his hits. Eighties music fans probably recognized the song samples "Forever Young" by Alphaville. Back in the earlier days of "alternative rock" radio, "Forever Young" was often voted as one of the top songs of all-time for that genre.
