Whitney Houston - I Look To YouLabels: Chevelle, Chris Young, Miley Cyrus, New Albums, Pitbull, Trey Songz, Whitney Houston
The super-couple of Jay-Z and Beyonce are perhaps the most successful musical couple of this decade. Beyonce has been one of the most popular pop singers of the 2000s while Jay-Z has been at the top of the hip hop world. This week on the THO 100 they prove that they are still a superpower. Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams" is the largest point gainer on the chart while Jay-Z's "Run This Town" has the largest chart move of 30 positions. "Sweet Dream's is Beyonce's 11th top 10 hit, not including her hits with Destiny's Child. Jay-Z has had four top 10 hits on THO, but only because it is difficult for hip hop songs to make it that far. Enjoy the chart this week!Labels: Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Jay-Z, THO 100
The new on the latest THO 100 chart isn't what happened at the top - the top six songs did not change positions. The action was further down the chart. Shakira's hot new hit had the largest point gain and blasted into the top 10 after only four weeks on the chart. The highest debut came from Madonna, who has released the title track from her upcoming "Celebration" album. No surprisingly, the track has one of the highest debuts of 2009, landing at #33. The lower reaches of the top 100 chart include nine other debuts, including Nelly Furtado, Bloc Party, and Jay-Z.Labels: Bloc Party, Jay-Z, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Shakira, THO 100

Not surprisingly, the Black Eyed Peas take over the #1 position on the THO 100 this week. "I Gotta Feeling" has been the top song on the Billboard Hot 100 for a few weeks now, and the song's popularity has been spreading through the rest of the world. This week it ends David Guetta's run at the top with "When Love Takes Over" (featuring Kelly Rowland). "Love" was #1 for four weeks. Just prior to that, it was the Black Eyed Peas who sat in the top spot for five weeks with "Boom Boom Pow." "Boom" and "Love" are the Peas' only number one songs, although they've had four other songs reach the top five, starting with "Where Is The Love" in 2003. Will their current #1 last as long as "Boom Boom Pow" did? We think it probably will, because after Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield," it will take a few weeks for other songs' popularity to rise to the same level. But we'll see what happens...Labels: Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Rowland, THO 100
